A key focus will be on enhancing the skills of the national players ahead of their busy international schedule

From April 28 to May 1, Jonathan Van Lange, Jasmine Billingy, Krystian Sahadeo and Thuraia Thomas will represent Guyana at the South American Youth Games in Argentina.

Guyana Table Tennis Association President, Godfrey Munroe is eyeing more thorough monitoring of players, from nutrition to cardiovascular levels, sleeping hours, and technical issues, which would allow them to truly gauge a player’s improvement or lack thereof.

The training sessions will be held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, the National Gymnasium and Malteenoes Sports Club.

The aim is to have a minimum of four hours a day per player. The various schedules have been developed to cater to school and work commitments.
