The modern state-of-the-art new Enmore Regional Hospital on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD), should be completed early next year and will employ about 1,000 staff including hundreds of medical professionals.

“We are looking at maybe about 30 (doctors), about 300 to 400 nurses and then another maybe 400 nursing assistants. Then you have clerical staff, technical staff,” Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony told President Ali on Monday.

In response, President Ali said, “This facility, it’s about a 1,000 people you will need to manage it”.
