Six teams will compete in the second edition of the Rock Auto Trans Futsal Tournament, which kicks off February 24 at the National Gymnasium.
The organiser, Wayne ‘Harry’ Griffith, has announced that the tournament, which the Guyana Football Federation sanctions, has an increased top prize of G$1 million.
Griffith, who launched the tournament on Wednesday at FireSide Grill, called on teams to play hard and maintain discipline.
He emphasised the need to be appropriately attired, especially when wearing shin pads and long socks.
According to Griffith, the other cash prizes up are $500,000 (second), $300,000 (third) and $200,000 (fourth).
Thanks to the title sponsor, numerous fans and the most valuable player are expected to win motorcycles.

The first four playing nights – February 24, February 28, March 8, and March 14—are at the Gym, while the final two—March 22 and March 28—will be at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The inaugural edition was a tremendous success, and in the final, Back Circle defeated Bent Street by a 3-1 margin.
