Campellville man on $200,000 bail for cocaine trafficking; Father still under probe

38-year-old Campbelllville resident, Mark Gomes was today charged and granted bail in the sum of $200,000 in connection with the discovery of 24.4 grammes of cocaine at a Campbellville property.

He appeared before the Chief Magistrate where the charge of cocaine trafficking was read to him. 

With bail granted, the accused will make his next Court appearance on the 3rd October for the continuation of the case.

Gomes was arrested along with his father, Andre Gomes. 

The father is well known to drug enforcement agencies locally and had appeared before the Court previously on drug trafficking charges.

The father remains under investigation in relation to the latest drug bust.
