A 27-year-old man of Evan Street, Charlestown is nursing a stab wound to his neck following an argument with his girlfriend over another man who called her.
Linden Davidson, a labourer, is in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital. The girlfriend was later arrested and is in Police custody assisting with the investigation, Police Headquarters reported.
According to reports, Davidson and his girlfriend were at home when she received a phone call from another man and an argument ensued.
Police said the woman armed herself with a knife and stabbed Davidson to his neck.
Davidson managed to escape and rode on a bicycle to the Ruimveldt Police Station and made a report.
He was then rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital. Police said he was stabbed to the neck and above one of his eyes.
